In Zone Enrolments
Enrolment
of a child is usually preceded by a discussion involving the Principal,
the parents, and the new child. During this discussion, details such as
address (if in-zone, proof of address is required), phone number,
emergency contacts and specific health matters, particularly allergies,
will be noted. If the enrolling child is a New Entrant, parents should
bring proof of age e.g. birth certificate and if available, their
immunization record. The Health card issued should be completed and
returned to school.
Parents are invited to pre-enrol their
children prior to their 5th birthday. This is to enable new entrants to
benefit from an opportunity to enjoy pre-entry school experiences.
Pupils cannot start school until on/after their 5th birthday.
Please
note that in order to preserve the current optimum size of our school,
we operate an enrolment scheme. Whilst those pupils living within the
school zone have automatic entitlement to enrolment, others need to
make special application which are considered through a ballot process.
Out Of Zone Enrolments
Please
contact the school office for full information of ballot process, dates
of ballots and application form for an out-of-zone application. The
ballot for children commencing in terms 1 & 2, 2007 closes 1
September 2006; and for terms 3 & 4, 2007 the ballot closes 26
March 2007.
