Gifted & Talented Education at Titirangi Primary
At Titirangi Primary School we have a commitment to meeting the needs of Gifted & Talented learners. Students who are highly, exceptionally or profoundly gifted and whose needs are not as easily met within the classroom may require provision in other programmes.
In Years 2-4, these students may meet each week to focus on higher order thinking skills and problem solving activities. In Years 5-6, students may participate in the Future Problem Solving programme, where they work in teams to learn and apply a six-step problem solving process to consider the challenges and issues contained within complex social and scientific problems to be faced in the future.
Titirangi Primary School is an institutional member of giftEDnz, the professional association for gifted and talented children.
