Alan JacksonSportChildren
are encouraged to play games during intervals and a range of sporting
equipment is readily available for such use. A change of clothing is
sometimes useful especially during the winter terms.
Winter
games include netball, touch rugby, soccer and other large ball games.
Summer games include padder tennis, softball and cricket. In summer
there is also an athletics meeting which involves schools in our area.
For older children, a series of winter sports fixtures with
neighbouring schools is a feature. Swimming is an important part of the
summer programme. For details of our Senior Interschool Sports fixtures, click
here.
Sport TeamsAs
part of our school programme, teams participate in a varied
representative programme with other schools. Whilst most weekend sports
teams are organised through sports clubs, our school does have a number
of school based teams competing in regular Saturday competitions.
Ukulele Group
The Ukulele
group meets on Tuesdays in Room 2 and is open to students in the Senior
School. Participants need to provide a clear drop-folder or manilla
folder to keep copies of handouts in. Junior students are also offered
an opportunity to join a "taster" ukulele group on Thursday lunchtimes
during Term 2.
