Nau mai, haere mai ki te whare pukapuka!
The school library is a special space in which children are encouraged to develop a love of books and reading for pleasure. It is a space where curiosity and imagination are fostered, and where children are guided to learn literacy and research skills.
The library holds a current and diverse range of books. You can search the library catalogue online. Each child has their own unique borrower number, is able to issue books and place reserves.
Books are issued for 2 weeks and can be renewed if required. Books should be kept in a waterproof library bag for their protection.
Each class visits the library once a week and the library is open during lunchtimes on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. At lunchtime children are able to read, listen to audiobooks, draw and relax. Caregivers and whānau are also welcome to use this space.
