Lockdown learning options

WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS OF HOME LEARNING DURING LOCKDOWN?
This will be slightly different for every family and school is not able to advise when and for how long formal learning sessions should be. We simply encourage you to complete whatever suits you and your family.
SUPPORTING CHILDRENS' WELLBEING
We encourage you to monitor your child's emotional as well as physical well-being as children are likely to be anxious about the situation. Therefore, spending time having fun playing board games and in-home activities will become as important as undertaking the more formal learning activities that we have put together.
WHAT ACTIVITIES CAN WE DO?
To assist you in supporting your child, we have compiled a selection of activities to support home learning, called Learning @ Home. Online learning tools and work activities need to be overseen and supervised by parents/caregivers.
LEARNING WITH YOUR CLASS AND TEACHER
Your child's teacher will be in contact, via email, with a programme of Google Meets and online learning requirements for the class.
VIDEO CONFERENCES
To support students and whānau during our School closure we are planning to run Google Meet Video Conferences to enable each class and its teacher to regularly touch base. Find out more about our school's Google Meets.
