“The America’s Cup has commenced and Titirangi Primary school are getting on board (pardon the pun!) with the excitement.
On Friday 19th March at 3pm the PTA are hosting our own Titirangi Primary School America's Cup at the school pool. The idea being to create a boat and bring it along to enter it into one of our categories (gold coin entry). This is the last weekend to work on your boats.
There will be races! With awards (chocolate fish!) for the fastest and slowest boats and judging for best in class for most creative, most beautiful, best sail boat and best propelled boat. So get involved! It doesn’t have to be the most innovative boat in the world (although kiwis are known for their ingenuity!)…it just needs to float, …or look great! and have an emphasis on recyclable materials.
Please, no petrol or diesel powered boats but there will also be an opportunity for people to bring other boats that they may have (for example remote control boats)….but remember they need to fit in the pool!
Come down and have some fun, we will have a sausage sizzle going, ice cream and drinks and of course the kids can jump in the pool after the racing has finished!
See you there!”
