PTA CORNER

Wow! What an amazing array of boats we had at our Americas Cup boat race a few weeks ago!

It was fantastic to see the bleachers at the pool completely full of supporters and so much creativity, innovation and careful thought that had gone into the design and creation of your fabulous boats!

The courts were full of boats and excited helmsmen and women ready to take on their competition in their chosen race.

For Best Sail Boat the winners were Ted from Room 23 and James from Room 15. The Best Propelled Boat winner was Gilan from Room 17. The Fastest Boat was Kahu from Room 17. The Slowest Boat was Mason from Room 2 and the Most Creative Boats were Kyra from Room 4 and Rigo from Room 5.

But it wasn’t about the winning…..although the chocolate fish did go down very well…it was just great to be able to get the school community together again. We hope you enjoyed creating your boats and then showcasing them in what could only be regarded as some of the best boat racing Titirangi Primary School has ever seen!

The PTA also managed to raise $1300 which is fabulous and will go towards our sunshade for the pool. Thank you so much to the students, caregivers, volunteers and teachers that brought this idea to life – it was great to see you all there!

Special thanks to Megan Hayward for sourcing our fabulous prizes which will be presented at assembly.

And for those of you keen on getting involved make sure you head along to our Give us 5 sign up sheet click here

We would love more help to keep bringing the school community together!

“Our next fabulous event will be the infamous Quiz night which this year will be held at the RSA on Saturday 26th June – mark the date in your diary – you will not want to miss it!

Our next PTA meeting is Monday 17th May for any interested future members.

And our winning boat builders from all the categories
