Last month, after conversations with West Maintenance & Property Services, a container of the donated classroom and staffroom furniture was sent to Fiji.
Many schools were badly damaged after a tropical cyclone that hit the islands in December. The cleaner contractor, Eric, organised the shipment on behalf of the Titirangi School and other local schools in the Auckland area.
The photograph shows the furniture being handed over to the Fijian Minister for Education. The message from Eric - 'God bless you and your team for the great help to our Fijian community school back in the Fiji islands'.
We are all delighted that the furniture will help others and we have taken an action of care and kindness - 'Manaakitanga' - to others.
