Every year we visit our maunga (mountain) to make connections to the place where our school is built.
We have a great view of our environment and also see the moana (sea).
This helps us make a connection to the place (turangawaewae) and will help us understand the school pepeha.
We practise some mindfulness and become closer to nature.
