on Friday 4th November we will be holding our Year 3-6 fun athletics day. This day is all about participation and giving new things a go.
All children will participate in a range of athletics based activities.
As the focus of the day is about getting involved and having a good time, we will not be recording results or holding finals of events. Instead, the children who would like to trial for the inter school athletics team will have the opportunity to do so over the coming weeks. (We will send out further communication to those who wish to trial).
What to bring for the day
Lots of water
Lunch
Wide brimmed hat
Suncream (this will also be available at school)
Suitable clothing that is easy to move in.
Parents, if you would like to watch your child, please be aware that we will have over 300 children involved throughout the day. It would be greatly appreciated if you could plan your visit to be for a shorter period of time to support our teachers in managing the day for the children. Please check the timetable attached but note it is indicative only and may change on the day.
If the event is not going ahead tomorrow and needs to be postponed, we will make the call by 8.30am. Notifications will be made by a school wide HERO post, Facebook and the school website.
