Extracurricular programmes

Options to enrich your child

SPORTS, CULTURAL, ARTS AND MORE

At Titirangi, we believe that our children should be encouraged to fully develop their passions and interests.

IN-SCHOOL PROGRAMMES

We run more than 20  extra curricular activities in the school. Some of these are fee-paying programmes that are run by private providers who families pay directly. Programmes include:

  • Musiqhub - guitar and drum lessons

  • Rhythm 'n' Steps - jazz and ballet dance

  • Music Education Centre - piano lessons

  • Marrzipan Drama

  • Kelly Sports - a very popular after school programme for the junior school

  • Learn French with La Petite Academy

  • Imogen Morris - recorder lessons

  • Skateboarding on Thursdays after school

  • Origami

We also have extra curricular activities which are free which are run by teachers and outside agencies:

  • Kapa Haka - Natalie Emery and Victoria Stevenson

  • Enviro Club - Mel McCorquindale

  • Lego Club - Brigette Helwes

  • Choir - Kasha Klee

  • Sports at lunchtime with Anton, our Sports Activator

HOW TO SIGN UP

We usually advertise extra-curricular activities early in the term in the school newsletter. But if your child has a particular interest, please contact the school office to see if an option is available within school or near to school.

OPTIONS IN THE WIDER COMMUNITY

Students from Titirangi School get involved in many sports and activities outside the school community too. Locally there are clubs for football, netball, rugby, sailing, dance, scouts, guides and much more. Often you will be able to find options with other children that they know from school. If your child has an interest, we can help recommend a nearby club to join.
