Managing the school role everyday is an important task for us to keep accurate, and currently, the number of absences is taking longer each day.
We would appreciate you making absence notifications with a specific reason through Hero as this will automatically attach to their student profile.
Please advise of absences by 9am to help with efficiency of the role management each day.
The Ministry of Education requires us to record the reason for absences. Please make this clear.
If your child is sick (Other than Covid related)
Other reason ie Doctor, dentist or another medical related appointment
If you are a household contact and isolating for the required 10 days- We can preset the role for the 10 days.

If you are choosing to keep your child home
If you are keeping your child at home for more than one day please clearly state their expected return date, or report their absence each day.
Please make sure your contact details are up to date, for receiving all school communications.
