150 Years Celebrations

In Term 1 we started our 150 Years celebrations. We had received funding from the Ministry of Education to employ a Creatives in Schools team to work with Year 5/6 students to create animations based on the history of the school and film interviews of ex-students and local characters. This continues this term. This film will be shown at the War Memorial Hall on 1st September at 7.00 pm. Please make a note in your diaries! This term, to celebrate the 150 Year milestone, each class will be creating an art piece to be installed around the school. This school art trail will open to our families and ex-students on Tuesday 27th September. Throughout this day there will be performances and an opportunity to view the artworks around the school. More details to follow but another date to note in your diaries. We will also run the Book Fair in Term 3 commencing Monday 22nd August to Friday 26th August. We would like to invite Grandparents into the school on Friday 26th August. There will be more details nearer the time what this will look like. I know we had feedback from the previous year that they Grandparents were keen to dress up too. Instead of a Yearbook, we will be creating a 150 Years Anniversary Young to commemorate this important milestone for the school.
