Tēnā koutou katoa,

This term is flying past. I cannot believe it is Week 8 next week. There is lots happening so please make sure you read through our current news and check 'What's On' and the school calendar.

Athletics

The weather was not on our side last week for Y3-6 Athletics. However, everyone displayed resilience and tried their best in a short time frame to get through as many events as possible. This week the teachers have been working hard to make sure all the Y4-6 children have an opportunity to compete in time for the Interschool Athletics competition. Thank you to all the organisation, especially Claire Iszard and Hilary Peterson, our sports coordinators, who started with Plan A, and I think they are now on Plan D!

Thank you to all the parents who supported and helped out on the days.

Next week, on Tuesday 1st December, is our Junior School (Y1-2) Athletics Day. Fingers crossed for fine weather. Please come along and support the children striving to do their best.

Parent Helpers Morning Tea

This week we thanked all of our parents who help in different ways within the school. We are fortunate in our community to have so many, who are able to give their time to help us provide rich learning programmes for our children. Thank you for your support.

Celebrating all Achievers

I would just like to congratulate Claire Iszard, our wonderful Year 3/4 teacher, who after two years who will graduate alongside all the other 'Newly Fully Registered' teachers at Trusts Stadium, West Auckland. Claire has worked extremely hard over the last two years and I have thoroughly appreciated the dedication she has shown to the school and the learners in the class. You are a legend, Claire!

In the run-up to Christmas, we get incredibly busy with so much going on and things to do. I encourage everyone to take time to stop, take a deep breath and think about what we are grateful for. Be kind to yourself.

Ngā mihi

Julie
